Three Pitchers Team Up As Pecos Eagles Varsity Shuts Out Alpine

Pecos Eagles Varsity defeated Alpine 15-0 on Monday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jayden Garza struck out J Martinez to finish off the game.

Pecos Eagles Varsity secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the first inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Brandon Abila, Ethan Sandoval, and Julian Adame, walks by Elian Fuentes and Ben Alonso, a groundout by Ricky Serrano, and a double by Tyger Baca.

Pecos Eagles Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Pecos Eagles Varsity scored one run when Abila singled.
One bright spot for Alpine was a single by Adrian Garcia in the third inning.

Baca got the start for Pecos Eagles Varsity. Baca went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out six and walking zero.

J Morris started the game for Alpine. Morris surrendered nine runs on six hits over one inning, striking out one. #5 and J Dominguez entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Pecos Eagles Varsity had nine hits in the game. Fuentes and Baca all managed multiple hits for Pecos Eagles Varsity. Baca and Fuentes each managed two hits to lead Pecos Eagles Varsity. Pecos Eagles Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Damian Lujan had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

Garcia led Alpine with one hit in two at bats. Alpine was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. M Carness made the most plays with three.
