Serrano's Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Pecos Eagles Varsity's Victory Over Big Spring

Pecos Eagles Varsity defeated Big Spring 3-2 on Thursday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at two with Pecos Eagles Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Ricky Serrano singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Pecos Eagles Varsity pitchers struck out 12, while Big Spring pitchers sat down five.
In the top of the fifth inning, Big Spring tied things up at two. Big Spring scored one run on a stolen base.

Jayden Garza led the Pecos Eagles Varsity to victory on the mound. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 12. Tyger Baca threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Ricky Escovedo took the loss for Big Spring. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out one.

Pecos Eagles Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Elian Fuentes, Serrano, and Brandon Abila each had multiple hits for Pecos Eagles Varsity. Abila, Serrano, and Fuentes each managed two hits to lead Pecos Eagles Varsity. Pecos Eagles Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Abel Velasquez made the most plays with 12.

I Diaz led Big Spring with two hits in two at bats. Big Spring was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Diaz had the most chances in the field with nine.
